J.M. Manion began photography in high school as a hobby. By
1985 it was his profession. He began his career with Weider
Publication's of Woodland Hills, California, in 1985 as a staff
photographer and followed that up a year later as a staff writer
too. His work has been featured in virtually every issue since
that time and at various times he has even had his own monthly
columns in the magazine. J.M. continues to be a contributing
photographer & writer for Weider Publications to this day with
2 current, monthly columns.
He is also the chief photographer, senior writer, copy editor
and assistant art director for NPC News, a Pittsburgh based
publication. He has held these positions since 1988, and continues
in those roles to this day.
Most importantly, J.M. owns and operates a successful portrait
studio in Bridgeville, PA, J.M. Productions® Photo Studio,
with his wife Debbie Amelio-Manion. They established the portrait
studio in 1993. The studio offers
sittings for high school senior portraits, family and children's
portraits, engagement portraits, weddings, glamour portraits
and does location work for many of the area's youth sports leagues.
This is a state of the art photography
studio, just minutes off the Interstate 79 Bridgeville exit,
beside the Bridgeville Post Office on the corner of Hickman
Street and Taylor Way!
